Deli Italiano was first established in 1990. Over the last thirty years our company has grown to a restaurant family spanning Northern Virginia, with seven locations and counting. We are proud to be among few local pizzerias where the NY style dough is still made from scratch, on site. Our longtime pillars of old-fashioned customer service, oversized pizza by the slice, community involvement and philanthropy, are the iconic markers taking centerstage as we transition from a multi-location concept to a rapidly growing brand. Position: General Manager

The General manager is responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of the restaurant. By carefully adhering to company standards, the GM ensures maximized profitability and efficiency in all areas including inventory, food preparation, service times, customer relations, storefront maintenance, recruiting, hiring and training of staff, and other duties as required. The General Manager is tasked with perpetuating a positive, safe, and efficient work environment for the entire store team.

Flexible Scheduling:

We work with each of our managers to create customized schedules, and do not require inflexible rotational scheduling.

Closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving:

Deli Italiano is always closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day (with closures and reduced hours on many other major holidays) to ensure our team can spend the holidays with family.

No Experience Required:

Company Sponsored License Acquisition:

GMs receive training, testing, licensing and renewals for Food Handler’s Licenses, fully paid by Deli Italiano.

Requirements:

· Previous management experience is ideal but not required

· A positive team-player attitude

· Strong problem-solving skills

· An eye for details

· Reliable independent transportation

· Minimum 6 months of work experience in Restaurant or Hospitality

· Professional references

· Record of superb workplace attendance

· Must be at least 21 years old to apply

Additional (Non-Required) Qualifications

· Experience with Restaurant Point of Sales equipment

· Experience with Project Management and Accountability software

· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

· Valid Food Handlers License
