Construction Safety Manager

Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to lead and enforce all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs across commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction safety, regulatory compliance, incident prevention, and field safety leadership. This individual will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure a safe work environment while maintaining compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Locations Locations: Charlotte, NC / Boston, MA / Montgomery, AL Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage site-specific safety programs and procedures. Conduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Lead project safety orientations for employees, subcontractors, and visitors. Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations. Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans. Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing safety training programs. Monitor subcontractor safety performance and enforce project safety requirements. Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and site-specific safety plans. Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and regulatory documentation. Coordinate emergency response planning and conduct emergency drills. Partner with project management teams to proactively address safety concerns and improve site safety culture. Track safety metrics, trends, and performance indicators and provide regular reporting to leadership. Support workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and injury management processes. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and industry best practices. Experience managing safety programs on large-scale commercial construction projects. Ability to conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses. Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software. Ability to work full-time onsite at active construction projects. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required). OSHA 500 Trainer Certification preferred. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), CHST, or equivalent certification preferred.
