Registered Nurse – ICU (Cardiac ICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac ICU setting at a Magnet, Teaching, and Level I Trauma facility
• Manage overflow patients from MICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU with a primary focus on cardiology
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-acuity, high-volume environment
• Float to other ICU units and border areas as needed to support unit demands
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic (required)
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and remain flexible to meet unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact license accepted; pending licensure not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic proficiency required
• References must be from a direct supervisor (charge RN references not accepted); 2 references required at time of submittal
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification preferred
• Background in high-volume, high-acuity, teaching, and trauma facility environments strongly preferred
• Experience managing complex cardiac and multi-specialty ICU patient populations
