Cloud Test Development Engineer, Manufacturing

About the Role Jabil is seeking a Cloud Test Development Engineer, Manufacturing to contribute to the growth of our Enterprise and Infrastructure division. The role involves designing and developing test systems and software applications that ensure the quality and reliability of hardware products across multiple manufacturing regions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain test systems and procedures for manufacturing processes, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts for components such as motherboard, memory, CPU, storage, and PCIe devices. Create, validate, release, and maintain test software and scripts that automate testing, control equipment, collect data, analyze results, and generate reports. Support and maintain manufacturing test software and infrastructure on production facilities, implementing minor configuration changes for new IPNs. Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure for manufacturing servers (L10) and racks (L11). Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance personnel to align on testing requirements and quality standards. Stay updated on the latest advancements in testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices. Define and collaborate on overall test infrastructure and application architecture. Perform management and supervisory duties as required, reporting to management. Qualifications Expertise in Python, BASH, C, and C++ programming and scripting. Linux development experience (CentOS, Ubuntu) with a solid understanding of fundamentals. Experience with hardware and API solutions for controlling, managing, and stressing L10 devices (servers, networks, storage SSDs, NVMe) using IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, memtester. Proficiency in creating and configuring DHCP, PXE boot, and nginx, and in deploying and managing virtual machines, preferably with VMWare. Knowledge of enterprise Ethernet, datacenter switching and routing (L1, L2, L3), BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP; experience with Arista CloudVision is a plus. Experience with code versioning tools, especially Git. Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MS preferred). 5–8 years of experience in software manufacturing test development or sustaining with enterprise server, storage, or networking products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in multi‑site, multi‑cultural environments. Domestic or international travel up to 10% may be required.
