(USA) Merchandising Lead

Position Summary What you’ll do: Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, giving guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Assist management with supervising associates in the assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques. Resolve member complaints and issues according to company guidelines, ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and support the Open Door Policy by participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates. Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors, organize and maintain the sales floor, utilize equipment, merchandise, and complete paperwork logs and other required documentation. Maintain safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and handling procedures, and disposing of hazardous materials per company guidelines. Ensure maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation in accordance with company policies, handle claims and returns, zone the area, stock, arrange and organize merchandise, set up cleaning and displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price merchandise, identify shrink and damages, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, and monitor food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls and sanitation standards are followed. Oversee picking and staging of club pick‑up orders throughout the day, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy. Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, analyzing information from multiple sources, monitoring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities. Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, guiding and demonstrating how to apply these in business processes and practices. Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating work assignments, providing advice and feedback to ensure timelines and quality, and modeling how to adapt to change or new challenges. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. At least 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Leading a team, supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
