Head of Engineering

We’re hiring a Head of Engineering to help define and build the next generation of industrial procurement — starting with Albus , our AI-powered sourcing agent for manufacturing equipment. You’ll own the technical vision, architecture, and execution for the Diagon platform, leading the team that’s transforming fragmented global supply data into structured, intelligent systems that accelerate industrial innovation.
Albus is designed to understand and reason about thousands of manufacturing machines and suppliers — bringing speed, precision, and intelligence to the world of capital equipment purchasing.
Lead the design and implementation of Diagon’s technical architecture — from data ingestion to AI-powered decision systems.
Build and scale a team of world-class engineers across frontend, backend, and AI infrastructure.
Define and evolve our modern web and data stack ( TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ).
Drive development of Albus , integrating AI/LLM workflows into sourcing, data modeling, and procurement automation.
Build APIs, data pipelines, and tooling to create the foundation for an intelligent industrial marketplace.
Partner with product and design to translate user needs into scalable, intuitive experiences.
10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years leading or managing teams.
Deep experience building production systems end-to-end (frontend, backend, and data).
Strong technical judgment and architectural instincts — able to balance velocity, scalability, and reliability.
Hands-on experience with AI/LLM systems , including:
- Chat completions, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines
- Tools like LangChain , LlamaIndex , or RAG architectures
- AI agents and orchestration frameworks ( AutoGPT , CrewAI , LangGraph )
Strong foundation in web app development: TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, Shadcn/ui, PostgreSQL, Drizzle
Bonus: Experience with large-scale data ingestion, scraping, or structured knowledge bases.
