Restaurant Manager

Location: Manhattan, NY

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Restaurant Manager to join the management team of a busy, high-volume full-service restaurant in Manhattan. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional who understands how to lead a team, deliver outstanding guest experiences, and maintain strong operational and financial performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
• Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall presentation.
• Act as manager-on-duty and provide strong leadership during busy shifts.
• Monitor staffing, scheduling, labor costs, and employee productivity.
• Assist with controlling food, beverage, labor, and operating expenses.
• Review sales and operational results and work with leadership to achieve financial goals.
• Recruit, interview, train, and develop restaurant employees and supervisors.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals, promotions, and operational expectations.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure issues are resolved quickly.
• Partner closely with the culinary team to maintain consistency in food quality and service.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and company standards.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and loss-prevention procedures.
• Maintain strong communication between all departments throughout each shift.
• Support private parties, large groups, special events, and high-volume business periods.
• Help create a positive, professional, and team-oriented restaurant culture.
• Lead by example and remain visible and engaged on the restaurant floor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience.
• Experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, staffing, scheduling, and cost control.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, energetic restaurant leader who enjoys a lively environment and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences. You should be comfortable leading a large team, managing the details of daily operations, and stepping in wherever needed to ensure a successful service.

Experience with Latin cuisine, high-volume dining, nightlife, entertainment, or event-driven restaurants is a plus, but strong restaurant management experience is the priority.
