We provide customers leading edge support from prototype to production.Summary Of Position:Responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives, driving actions to meet internal and external customer expectations for quality, working cross-functionally to identify causes of potential product/process failures and driving corrective and preventative actions internally and/or with suppliers as needed. Using sound audit techniques and statistical tools, identifying high leverage continuous improvement projects to elevate the company Quality delivery to our customers.Manage all aspects of the plant quality to include: audits, inspections, quality engineering, first article reporting, non-conforming product management, supplier qualityEvaluate and enhance quality standards, technologies and approachesAct as a strong advocate for quality in the New Product Development ProcessRepresent the company externally in conversations with key customers and partnersSynthesize quality performance data for presentation to executive leadershipDrive improvement to the department key performance metrics (COPQ, QPPM, Supplier Quality QPPM, DMR/RMA rate)Act of a champion in the FMI Internal Audit programs (LPA, POR audits)Basic knowledge and understanding of basic safety work processes such as JSA's and MOC'sEducation And/Or Experience Required:Bachelor's degree (BS) from four-year College or university in an Engineering or Quality discipline; or 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of demonstrated success leading and managing Quality or manufacturing organizations in the machining, semiconductor equipment, automotive or medical device sectorAbility to synthesize and distill technical analyses into meaningful activities to drive continuous improvementAbility to write process descriptions, assembly, and manufacturing instructionsProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word, Project, Adobe AcrobatInterface with customers and suppliersRead and interpret manufacturing drawings "Blue prints"Advanced Knowledge of ASME Y14.5GD&T TechniquesRead and interpret customer specification documentsExtract vital parameters from customer drawings and engineering documentsWorking knowledge and experience applying statistical methods, tests, and techniques including Statistical Process Control (SPC)Culture:At FM Industries our success is powered by people and technology.
