Part Time Plasma Center Tech

Part‑time plasma donor screener position (5 shifts of 4 hours per week). Shifts range from 4 to 6 hours and occur 3 or more days per week, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or a combination at the scheduler’s discretion. Certifications Required California Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) California Certified Phlebotomy Technician 2 (CPT2) California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) California Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Responsibilities Answer phones, greet donors, and provide customer service while maintaining donor safety. Screen new and repeat donors, record vital signs and finger‑stick results, and prepare donor charts. Use the Donor Information System to maintain accurate records, coordinate compensation, and manage donor data. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement procedural changes using approved company protocols. Work flexible shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to support center operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer‑ or patient‑facing role. Current state license or certification listed above. Ability to walk, stand, lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders, and lift up to 32lb (occasionally up to 50lb). Ability to lift to 5lb continuously. Fine‑motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing ability for distant equipment. Comfortable with prolonged glove use (risk level1 bloodborne pathogens). Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Location & Compensation Location: USA – CA – Sacramento – Florin. Pay: Starting hourly wage$19.00, compliant with local minimum wage requirements.
