About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP Must-Have: Previous charge experience Experience with a charting system (Epic) Ability to assist with high-risk delivery Experience with patient ratios of 2:1 Description: Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients during labor and delivery. Monitor fetal heart rates and assess maternal well-being. Assist in various delivery methods, including vaginal and cesarean sections. Administer medications and manage pain management techniques, including epidural anesthesia. Perform necessary assessments and documentation as per unit protocols. Utilize critical thinking skills to manage obstetrical emergencies. Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education to new mothers. Participate in the care of postpartum patients, addressing any complications. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain a safe and effective environment for both mother and infant. Ensure compliance with all organizational and regulatory standards. Candidates should be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Flexibility in scheduling may be required. This position necessitates the ability to respond to the dynamic nature of labor and delivery settings.
