And we have the fantastic opportunity available in Construction for a Field Service Technician.Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…The primary duty of a Field Service Technician is to implement complex proprietary computerized access control systems and various hardware and software applications. This job requires a mix of soft personal skills along with deep technical knowledge paired with strong diagnostic skills. You will be responsible for establishing rapport and comfort with customers as well as deploying, monitoring, diagnosing, and repairing a large software suite with an even larger array of hardware types.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCustomer service-oriented approach with importance on understanding customer operation proceduresProvide hardware and software solutions to solve customer access control scenariosAbility to travel week-to-week, 80% of the yearProvide in person training to end users after system implementationPerforming advanced troubleshooting on AAGS proprietary products and softwareExercise professional judgment to discern customer concerns and needs for complex systemsProvide feedback to property personnel and internal superiors on resolution/next stepsRetrieve logs and provide detailed technical descriptions for bug reportingWork independently with little oversight or support in remote locationsCollaborate with and support other departments as neededAvailable for on-call assignments on a rotating schedule basisSupport and assisting AAGS 3rd party contractors on-site and remotelyManage high pressure situations with a professional demeanorProvide high level end user support remotely or on-siteOther duties and special projects as assignedDraft project estimates and working with Sales with customer solutionsOverall project managementSkill Requirements and Performance Criteria5 to 7 years customer support or field technical experienceMust be flexible with schedulingAbility to travel throughout US (drive and fly)Exceptional organizational skillsConscientious professionalismExcellent customer service skillsStrong diagnostic/critical thinking skillsClear and concise written communicationPreferred Professional SkillsAdvanced knowledge of WindowsKnowledge of Apple iOSKnowledge of Android OSKnowledge of wireless signal and RF networksFamiliar with IoT devicesComfortable with multi-meter (Voltage, Amperage)Previous technical/field support experienceAbility to read floor plans and electronic wiring schematicsEducation/ CertificateTechnical knowledge in low voltage applicationsUnderstanding of high voltage applications
