Medical Assistant- Cardiology

Reddy Heart Institute is a physician-led cardiology and electrophysiology practice founded by Dr. Kartik Reddy, MD, FHRS. We specialize in providing advanced, compassionate cardiac care using the latest technology in electrophysiology, device management, and diagnostic imaging. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who takes pride in patient care and teamwork.

Position Summary

The Primary Medical Assistant will support daily clinic operations, assist the physician by entering in labs, medications, and testing orders. Assisting in prior authorizations for medications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and wants to be part of a high-performing, innovative cardiac practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter in orders for labs, medications, and testing
• Assist with device interrogations, wound checks, and post-procedure care.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and ensure cleanliness.
• Accurately enter patient data into the EMR (ECw).
• Coordinate scheduling for procedures, follow-ups, and diagnostics.
• Communicate effectively with the physician, front desk, and billing teams.
• Support remote device monitoring and patient education.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred.
• Prior experience in cardiology or electrophysiology strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer literacy.
• Organized, dependable, and able to multitask.
• CPR/BLS certification required (or obtained within 90 days).
