Location: New London, North CarolinaSchedule: 12 and 8-Hour Shifts availableCompensation: $25 - $35 hour About the OpportunityA well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled and hands-on Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining automated production equipment, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility.The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery in a continuous manufacturing environment.Position OverviewThe Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs on production machinery and facility systems. This role works closely with production leadership and operators to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and production systemsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled equipment to identify and resolve issues efficientlyRespond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions to minimize downtimeInspect machinery and equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential failuresRepair and replace motors, bearings, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, valves, and other industrial componentsAssist with machine installations, upgrades, and process improvement projectsMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentationSupport root cause analysis efforts and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliabilityFollow all OSHA and company safety proceduresCollaborate with production personnel to optimize equipment performance and production efficiencyMaintain housekeeping standards within maintenance work areasParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, throughput, and cost reductionQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical degree, trade school training, or maintenance certification preferredMinimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, plastics, extrusion, chemical, or processing environmentStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience working with automated machinery and computerized production equipmentKnowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, conveyors, and industrial controlsAbility to interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawingsExperience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems preferredBasic PLC troubleshooting experience preferredWelding, fabrication, and machining experience is a plusStrong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently while supporting a team-oriented manufacturing culturePreferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in any of the following industries are especially encouraged to apply:PVC manufacturingPlastic extrusionPipe manufacturingFilm or sheet extrusionChemical processingIndustrial manufacturingContinuous process manufacturingPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout a 12-hour shiftAbility to work in varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing environmentAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to safely use tools, ladders, and maintenance equipmentAbility to work around operating industrial machineryBenefitsCompany -paid medical insuranceCompany-paid life insurance and long-term disability coverage401(k) with company matchPaid vacation, personal days, and holidaysOptional dental, vision, short-term disability, supplemental life insurance, and additional voluntary benefitsEmployee referral bonus program
