Estimator/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to lead cost estimating and execution for construction projects across healthcare, federal, higher education, commercial, and campus environments. The role blends technical estimating skills with hands-on project management to deliver projects on time, on budget, and in compliance with client and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will support business development, prepare detailed estimates and proposals, manage project schedules and budgets, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain strong client relationships particularly in hospital, office, and campus settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates and takeoffs for design-bid-build and design-build projects across healthcare, federal, higher education, office, commercial, and campus environments.
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, and bid packages; evaluate subcontractor bids and prepare bid analyses and recommendations.
• Manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, change orders, and cost control throughout preconstruction and construction phases.
• Serve as the primary project manager on assigned jobs: create and maintain project schedules, coordinate trade contractors, monitor progress, and conduct regular client and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, hospital and campus-specific policies, and contract documents.
• Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and owners to identify value engineering opportunities and constructability improvements.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, campus facilities, and procurement teams; represent the company in client meetings and presentations.
• Develop and implement project risk management strategies, including safety and quality assurance measures.
• Mentor and coordinate junior estimators and project staff; contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and project management processes.
• Prepare regular project reports, closeout documentation, and lessons learned to support future estimating and delivery improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years combined experience in construction estimating and project management, with a strong background in healthcare and hospital projects preferred.
• Proven experience in federal and higher education procurements and contract requirements, including knowledge of Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage, or similar regulations where applicable.
• Strong proficiency with estimating software (for example, Procore, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and proposals; strong knowledge of cost drivers, MEP systems, and site logistics in hospital and campus settings.
• Excellent project management skills, including schedule development, resource coordination, subcontractor management, and change order negotiation.
• Outstanding communication and client-facing skills, with experience presenting to owners, facility managers, and procurement teams.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications and to perform takeoffs accurately.
• OSHA safety awareness and a commitment to maintaining safe jobsite practices; certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, PMP) a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites, client offices, and campuses as required.
