Electrical Test Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Test Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Poway, CA, supporting advanced avionics and electronic systems within the aerospace and defense industry. This role is ideal for an experienced electronics testing professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, component-level diagnostics, and working with precision test equipment in a high-reliability technical environment.

The Electrical Test Technician will support testing, repair, and investigation of electronic assemblies used in mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities
Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic assemblies, circuits, and avionics-related components.
Diagnose electronic failures to the component level and perform accurate repairs.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and related documentation.
Operate oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and other electronic test equipment.
Document test results, repair actions, findings, and technical investigation details.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.

Compensation:
Pay rate: $40 to $45 per hour.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills
Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies and circuits.
Support component-level diagnostics, repair, and verification of electronic systems.
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support test and repair activities.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
3 to 5 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or a related technical role.
Associate degree in Electronics or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, RF systems, and electronic components.
Proficiency using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and related test equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies to the component level.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented engineering and production environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting avionics, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability electronic systems.Familiarity with technical investigation processes, failure analysis, or root cause troubleshooting.Experience working in a regulated manufacturing, repair, or production test environment.
