• Able to read blueprints
• Basic mechanical skills
• Strong knowledge of power transmission, hydraulics, and equipment repair
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime
• Comfortable working in hot, noisy, and physically demanding environments
• Preferred: Experience in steel, pipe, or heavy manufacturing
• Millwright training or certification
• Welding, rigging, or crane experience
• Familiarity with CMMS and industrial equipment systems

A day on the line:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including mills, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and compressors.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment.
• Perform inspections, alignments, rebuilds, and component replacements.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a 24/7 production environment.
• Complete work orders and track maintenance in CMMS systems.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
