Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (travel) in Templeton, California. This 8-week assignment starts 08/24/2026, with 36 guaranteed hours per week and shifts scheduled 5x8 days. Pay ranges from $2,192 to $2,230 per week. Work setting: short-term acute care hospital.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, assisting surgeons and anesthesia, and coordinating the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff.
- Maintain aseptic technique and patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including safe anatomical positioning, and ensure the timely availability of needed equipment and supplies.
- Conduct pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment following established Surgery Department criteria.
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials and adhere to infection control and utility policies.
- Access facility information systems to retrieve and utilize pertinent information for patient care and unit operations.
- Document perioperative activities, including temperature of tissue/allografts, verify package integrity, deliver to sterile field, and log per manufacturers’ guidelines.
- This position is represented by the CNA.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- One year of previous full-time operating room experience required; at least two years of recent nursing experience in the field.
- Ability to work in an operating room environment and to travel for a short-term assignment; ability to work a 5x8 day shift.
