Location: Waianae Clubhouse
Position Type: Part-Time | Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday after school hours between 1pm-7pm, with flexible weeknights and weekends.

19 hours/week

Compensation: $20.25 hourly

Position Overview

The Youth Development Specialist I supports the daily implementation of youth programs and activities focused on academic enrichment, recreation, healthy lifestyles, and positive youth development for our teen members (middle school and high school). This position plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive Clubhouse environment where youth feel supported and encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily youth programming and enrichment activities
• Build positive relationships with youth and serve as a positive role model
• Assist with educational, recreational, sports, and healthy lifestyle activities
• Encourage participation and maintain a safe, welcoming environment
• Reinforce positive behaviors and respectful decision-making
• Support daily operations, program setup, and member engagement
• Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality youth programming

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with youth preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Energetic, dependable, patient, and team-oriented
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Valid Hawai‘i driver’s license preferred
• Availability for occasional evenings or weekends as needed
