Registered Nurse - Urgent Care & Behavioral Health

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Must be available every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will float between the Urgent Care and Facility-Based Crisis units, providing care to patients presenting as walk-ins or transferred due to involuntary commitment (IVC) status. The role requires an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing up to 25 patients a day in the Urgent Care setting, while also supporting individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders in the Facility-Based Crisis unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in both Urgent Care and Facility-Based Crisis settings.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
• Document patient care activities accurately using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Assist in stabilizing patients and developing appropriate care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with urgent care experience preferred.
• Experience in a behavioral health environment is strongly preferred.
• Current, active RN license required at the time of submission.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to pass the Pass Fail EKG exam required by the facility.
