Location: Redwood City, CA
Work arrangement: On-site - The role requires on-site work five days a week, Monday through Friday, plus one weekend day.
Compensation: $230K - $270K base
Experience: 4 - 16 years
Bar admission: California
About the opportunity
This is a pivotal opportunity for the firm's first dedicated legal hire, offering direct ownership in building a legal function from the ground up. The practice focuses on complex commercial transactions and novel legal challenges within voice AI.
What you'll do
- Negotiate and close enterprise agreements swiftly.
- Develop contract templates and negotiation playbooks.
- Define legal positions on voice AI issues.
- Partner with Sales on enterprise deals.
- Manage platform terms and outside counsel.
What you bring (required)
- Active bar admission in California.
- Commercial or technology transactions experience.
- Hands-on M&A and DPA redlining experience.
- Experience with privacy and AI regulation.
- Proven ability to build legal processes from scratch.
