Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour variable shifts with majority of shifts running 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• PM shifts may start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Can be placed on low census; call back minimum is 2 hours
• Primary location is the Emergency Department
• Trauma Level II unit with 18 beds; stroke certified with cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory capabilities
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and working with Pyxis medication dispenser
• Respiratory therapy and X-ray staff on site in the ED
• Required to chart using EPIC; EPIC experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience - FIRM
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color

This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital housing an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of complex cases including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory conditions. The emergency department operates at a fast pace and is supported by in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff, ensuring comprehensive care for patients in a dynamic clinical environment.
