Orthopedics Team Physician Extender/Athletic Trainer

We are looking for someone to join our Orthopedics Team as a Physician Extender/Athletic Trainer.

What You'll Do:

Clinical responsibilities: accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam.
Patient care responsibilities: Effectively utilizes the electronic medical records system to check scheduled, complete prior authorizations and organize patient flow; demonstrates acceptable time management techniques; accurate charting; accurately relays instructions to patients/families; answers calls and provides pertinent information.
Clerical responsibilities: includes sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/radiology reports, hospital notes referral information.
Responsible for setting up instruments and equipment according to protocols; cleaning exam/procedures rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sanitizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; maintains office supplies by notifying Practice Manager when items are needed, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms.

What You'll Bring/Requirements:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program of study.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the State of Ohio Occupational, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board.
