CLERK TYPIST (NURSES' OFFICE)

Full-time, 10 month position for the 2026-2027 school year at the Gloucester Township Campus.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Training or work experience related to the position.
• Excellent verbal, writing, customer service, computer and telephone skills.
• Knowledge of office application software packages and equipment.
• Maintain cooperative working relationship with colleagues; pleasant office behavior.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Meet the health qualifications required of all personnel.
• Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.
• Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools' Nepotism Policy, File Code: 0142.1.

Salary is based on experience according to the Board of Education of the Camden County Technical Schools and Cam/Voc Education Association Agreement Salary Guide - $28,437 - $44,337. Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and/or designee and based on qualifications for the position.

Position goals: To carry out all secretarial duties necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the office assigned.

Reports to: Supervisor assigned per the CCTS' Organizational Chart.

Performance responsibilities:

• Perform secretarial and confidential work as assigned.
• Receive and route incoming calls, in-person inquiries and correspondence.
• Type and proofread using word processing, spreadsheets or database software.
• Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, take notes and handle follow-up activities.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping and files.
• If assigned as the Principal's Secretary:
• Supervise office operations and personnel.
• Test and interview applicants for employment in the high school office.
• Maintain the principal's calendar.
• Assist the principal in preparation of the annual budget.
• Order supplies annually for office staff and teachers.
• Maintain log of teacher attendance and note when absence slips are submitted.
• Maintain log for all room reservations.
• Maintain office housekeeping and security.
• Distribute paychecks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor assigned per the CCTS' Organizational Chart/or designee.
