Associate Center Operations Director

Job Overview We’re ChenMed, a family‑owned organization focused on delivering high‑quality primary care to moderate‑to‑low‑income seniors. We seek an Associate Center Operations Director to oversee center operations, ensuring exceptional patient experience, efficient scheduling, robust workforce planning, and a positive team culture. Responsibilities Patient Experience: Enhance overall patient satisfaction by implementing best practices and responding to feedback. Slot Utilization: Optimize appointment slots to maximize patient access and operational efficiency. Slots Quality: Maintain the quality of appointment slots, balancing availability with patient needs. Availability and Accessibility: Ensure the team is readily available to reduce wait times and barriers to care. Disenrollment: Monitor and manage patient disenrollment rates, identifying and addressing causes to retain patients. Orphan Patients: Identify and support patients without assigned primary care providers to ensure coordinated care. Center Culture (Engagement): Cultivate a collaborative environment that promotes staff engagement and morale. Center Workforce Planning: Develop and execute workforce strategies to meet patient needs and operational demands. Onboarding of Line Staff: Oversee the onboarding process, providing comprehensive training and support. Teammate Retention (Turnover): Implement strategies to improve retention and reduce turnover rates. Other duties as assigned or modified at the manager’s discretion. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Build relationships and foster collaboration among staff, patients, and external partners. Strong business acumen with a data‑driven mindset, utilizing KPIs and metrics for continuous improvement. Team building: develop and implement strategies to engage and grow team members. Knowledge of general operations standards and regulatory requirements. Excellent critical reasoning, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Fluency in spoken and written English. Independent judgment and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Education & Experience Required: BA/BS in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Biological Science, or a closely related discipline. Additional experience may substitute for required education on a year‑for‑year basis. Minimum 5 years of related experience in a medical clinic, hospital, or similar environment; minimum 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience in a regulated healthcare setting. Compensation Pay range: $83,638 – $119,482 per year. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. Position may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
