FP&A Analyst

General Job Description Position Overview The FP&A Analyst delivers strategic financial insights, driving business performance, and supporting key decision-making processes. This role also supports month-end closings, financial reporting and audit preparation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within the accounting and finance team. Primary Responsibilities Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for the residential construction businesses. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, project management, and sales, to gather relevant data and insights. Participate in strategic planning initiatives, including new project evaluations, investment appraisals, and profitability analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the FP&A function. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders, helping them understand financial impacts to make informed decisions. Assist with preparation of the monthly operating report ("MOR") and review with division accounting and finance leadership. Perform other related duties as assigned. #LI-DNI Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Required Skills and Abilities Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Experience with D365, OneStream, Power BI and AI tools such as Claude a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and matrix environment and manage multiple priorities. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the construction or real estate industry. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing schedules and operational demands. Ability to work modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require. Ability to work effectively in a typical office environment, including exposure to open office and cubicle settings, ambient noise, telephones, computer equipment, overhead lighting, frequent interruptions, multiple conversations, and other normal workplace distractions. Sit at a desk and perform prolonged computer work, including viewing monitors, entering data, and using office equipment, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the workday. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures. Travel as required to support project and operational needs. Dependable transportation and commitment to punctual, reliable on-site attendance. Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 15 pounds.
