Acute care hospital setting with a dedicated Cath Lab unit
Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab
Adult and geriatric patient population, middle and older adult age competencies required
Procedures include cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
Uses Cerner charting system
3x12 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Works 2-3 weekends per contract
No floating within scope required beyond hospital or affiliate facilities as needed
Call required on a rotating basis with staff and agency, supported by a dedicated call team
ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R), and RCIS (CCI) certifications required; ARRT (R) preferred over RCIS
Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings required
Cerner EMR experience required
Experience with equipment setup and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
Skilled in isolation precautions and sterile technique
Active Illinois license required at time of consideration
First-time travelers accepted
Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating during procedures, equipment setup, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a travel candidate
Floating required for all travelers, including to nearby affiliate facilities
RTO ideally limited to 5 days or fewer per contract
Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
Scrubs are provided
1,000+ bed Magnet-designated, Level I trauma acute care hospital
