Project Manager - Passenger Rail & Transit Engineering

HDR seeks a highly motivated Project Manager to work in the transit market sector, providing project management and technical services to transit clients in Northern California. Responsibilities Manage capital program engineering design and construction projects or programs in assigned areas from conceptual design through completion; project areas may include Trackwork, station improvements, Traction Power and electrical systems, automated fare collection, and other tasks as needed for state‑of‑good repair. Perform construction project management duties; prepare cost estimates; prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; conduct field inspections as required; monitor work in progress. Ensure that the proactive project management system plans, organizes, controls, and evaluates all work. Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently. Implement, monitor, and support company policy. Work with multidiscipline teams and manage technical personnel. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. PMP certification. Understanding of Traction power systems for various Transit agencies. Ability to handle multiple assignments. Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 10 years related experience. Minimum 5 years project management experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license. MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus).
