Telemetry Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Telemetry or strong MedSurg experience

License: Valid state nursing license required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have: Strong telemetry experience preferred. Management of drips and rhythms is expected. Candidate must pass medication and EKG test. Every other weekend and holiday availability required.

Description: The unit is focused on oncology but manages a substantial volume of telemetry patients. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of telemetry, with a preference for those experienced in oncology. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing cardiac drips without titration, interpreting dysrhythmias, and performing telemetry as needed. Candidates will be expected to have experience in basic nursing skills including IV starts, phlebotomy, and management of various patient care equipment. Interdisciplinary support is provided from various services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 23 patients. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment, with opportunities for professional development and support. Compliance with professional conduct standards is essential. Travelers need to complete modules prior to starting the position. Unprofessional behavior or shift call-offs will result in contract termination.
