Registered Nurse (RN) - TelemetryThis is an auto-offer position for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry. The role requires you to work nights, with shifts from 1900 to 0700. It has a guaranteed weekly hour requirement of either 36 or 48 hours, which must be indicated upon submission. The assignment length is 13 weeks.Unit InformationNumber of Beds: 24Patient Ratios: Days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:7. Ratios may vary based on unit circumstances.Equipment: Telemetry monitors, lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps.EMR System: EPICQualificationsRequired Licensure: Current RN License, meeting the criteria for licensure in Missouri.Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start if not submitted initially).Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a telemetry unit, inpatient experience required.Must Have Skills: Experience and competence in drug titration.Personality FitThe ideal candidate should be determined, decisive, and flexible, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.Dress CodeScrub Color: BlackUnacceptable Attire: Any scrubs that are not black.Role ResponsibilitiesUtilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, which encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and care. You must maintain patient rights and confidentiality, evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by other team members, and perform your responsibilities in alignment with professional standards.Conditions and Physical DemandsThe role requires standing and walking for the majority of the shift. Candidates must be capable of bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. The position may require varying schedules, shifts, and work frequency based on patient care needs, with a high risk of exposure to blood and body fluids.
