Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Tele

Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift: 3x12s weekly with guaranteed hours of 36. Shift time is 19:00 - 07:00, with 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule period.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg Tele unit will provide direct patient care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing patient care plans. The RN will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate patient care in the Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and ensure patient safety.
• Assist with assessments and report changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Support patients and families through education and communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required).
• Current RN license in the state of Arizona.
• ACLS certification.
• At least 2 years of recent acute care experience, specifically in Telemetry.
• Experience in managing a patient ratio of 1:6 is essential.
• Ability to float to other units (IMC, ED) as needed.
