Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, encompassing physical examinations and in-depth analyses of medical histories
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions through the interpretation of diagnostic imaging and lab results
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical care plans for patients
• Provide intraoperative assistance, including prepping surgical spaces, ensuring proper patient positioning, and delivering surgical instruments during operations
• Deliver exceptional preoperative and postoperative care, including medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical practices is highly desirable

Certifications Required

• Current and unencumbered PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification are essential
• Applicable state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant

• Robust knowledge of surgical principles and aseptic techniques
• Demonstrated capability to interpret diagnostic tests and contribute effectively to clinical decision-making
