Location: Greater Columbus, OH
Pay: $22–$26/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Fabrication Technician to support metal fabrication and welding operations in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in automotive technology and fabrication who is eager to grow their skills in welding, prototyping, and advanced manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the fabrication of brackets, fixtures, and prototype components
• Operate basic fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and shears
• Assist with part preparation, fit-up, and finishing processes
• Learn and safely perform basic MIG and TIG welding (training provided)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow detailed instructions and collaborate with team members to meet project goals

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant hands-on or mechanical experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in automotive or fabrication work
• Experience using common hand tools; willingness to learn welding and fabrication techniques
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
• Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, data entry)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive, coachable attitude

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Automotive, shop, or technical school background
• Exposure to welding, fabrication, or machining
• Familiarity with CAD software or 3D printing
• Previous experience in automotive service, manufacturing, or as a hobbyist
