Key Qualities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Critical and analytical thinker, natural solver Can synthesize large amounts of data Collaborative team player Exceptional attention to detail Intellectually curious Takes ownership of work efforts and knows when to ask for help Excellent organizational skills that facilitate the ability to work on multiple assignments while completing projects on time and with the highest quality Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) Demonstrate analytical skills in the areas of economics, financial planning, and utility accounting Desire for continued learning to advance skill set Prior knowledge and experience with water, wastewater, or solid waste beneficial but not required Job Description Assist with the development of user‑friendly Microsoft Excel models that evaluate utility financial, technical, and operational data to provide reports, insight, and action plans Work directly with senior employees and external client project teams to diagnose issues and collaboratively design effective solutions Perform quantitative and qualitative financial and economic analyses to support end‑user models utilizing Microsoft Office products Conduct econometric analyses employing descriptive and predictive analytics to summarize large sets of historical data from various platforms Support development of financial models with user‑friendly dashboards to improve flexibility in decision making Develop project status reports and prepare memoranda summarizing research findings, statistical data analysis, and results Perform industry and/or project‑specific research Qualifications Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or Data Analytics preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced experience with Excel, Power Query, PowerPivot, and Power BI is a plus Strong analytical background with the ability to translate large datasets into clear insights and quantitatively supported recommendations Additional Information Location: Richardson, TX. In person initially, then hybrid options available (two work-from-home days a week). We offer flexible work schedules with the understanding that a client deadline takes precedent. Employee Type: Full Time, Exempt Salary: We offer competitive salaries and bonuses. Investment in both formal and informal professional development is encouraged and funded by NewGen. Base Compensation Range: $65,000 – $75,000. The range provided is NewGen’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non‑discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
