Associate Attorney

Litigation Associate (3+ Years Experience) Department: Litigation Position Type: Full-Time Position Overview Our client, a highly respected, well-established law firm in California to find a talented Litigation Associate for their premier practice group. Our client is seeking an experienced attorney with at least three years of diverse civil litigation background to step into a key role within their team. The ideal candidate is an articulate, highly analytical advocate who prides themselves on meticulous drafting and sharp legal research. Our client values autonomy; they are looking for a professional who is ready to take true ownership of their files, confidently handle courtroom arguments, lead and defend depositions, and play a pivotal role in trial preparation. Primary Responsibilities Formulate case strategies and oversee commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution. Handle a diverse caseload featuring breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference claims. Conduct extensive legal research and author high-quality pleadings, substantive motions, and legal memoranda. Appear in court to argue motions, lead deposition strategies, and prepare cases for trial. Provide clear, concise, and empathetic communication to clients while collaborating effectively with internal trial teams. Candidate Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sophisticated litigation practice. Bar Admission: Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing (required). Education: J.D. from an accredited law school Core Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal advocacy. Preferred Experience: Prior exposure to litigation involving real estate, land use, intellectual property, or trusts and estates is a major plus. Compensation & Total Rewards Annual Base Salary: $268,000 to $355,000+ Bonus Structure: Eligible for both performance-driven and discretionary year-end bonuses.
