Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Hold a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Valid state licensure/certification as a School Social Worker
• Prior experience working in K-12 schools or with children and adolescents preferred
• Strong understanding of special education processes, mental and behavioral health, and crisis intervention
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
• Ability to develop rapport with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to students, individually and in small groups
• Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, or behavioral needs impacting student learning
• Develop intervention strategies and support plans collaboratively with educators and families
• Participate in SST, IEP, or 504 meetings as an advocate for students’ social-emotional needs
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources
• Deliver crisis intervention and support in urgent situations
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Contribute to the creation of positive, inclusive school climates
