PRINCIPAL

Principal Position

Roanoke Rapids Graded School District is seeking a visionary educational leader with a commitment to academic excellence to fill the position of principal in the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District. The principal, under the supervision of the superintendent, shall provide general supervision over the posted school.

Qualifications:

• Must hold or be eligible to hold a valid North Carolina principal's license (00012).
• Prior successful school-based administrative or related experience with prior school experience preferred.

Major Responsibilities:

• Serves as the chief administrator of the school in supervising and directing school personnel, facilities, programs and strong decision making skills.
• Provides instructional leadership with the ability to continue the implementation of the State and Federal Curriculum.
• Ability to foster a collaborative and cohesive team, to promote the educational development of each student and the professional growth of each staff member.
