AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Description Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and secure enterprise AWS cloud infrastructure in Lutz, FL. Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS services, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, automation, networking, and cloud security. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, EBS, and load balancing.
- Configure and manage AWS networking, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, and hybrid connectivity.
- Develop and automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform and IaC.
- Implement DevOps practices, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate cloud operations using Python, PowerShell, and AWS CLI.
- Manage AWS security and governance using IAM, Organizations, Control Tower, Security Hub, and GuardDuty.
- Configure SSO, MFA, federation, and cross-account access.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, and AWS Backup.
- Support AWS landing zones, disaster recovery, resiliency, and cost optimization.
- Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) best practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 7-10+ years of relevant IT infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure and networking experience.
- Proficiency with Terraform, IaC, Git, and CI/CD automation.
- Experience scripting with Python, PowerShell, or AWS CLI.
- Knowledge of AWS security, IAM, governance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting enterprise cloud architecture and multi-account environments.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
