Registered Nurse
The position is for a registered nurse in an intensive care unit. Patient ratios are targeted at 1:2-3. Travel experience is preferred. The unit is a 40-bed, fast-paced, high acuity ICU. Common procedures include endoscopy, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy, and gastrostomy tube placement. Nurses frequently recover patients immediately post-operative. The unit supports a variety of diagnoses, including respiratory failure, sepsis, and traumatic injuries. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various specialized services. The nurse will need to manage complex patient care, including ventilated patients, central line care, and medication titration. Nurses must comply with infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions. Floating may occur to support other units based on nursing care needs. The contract may be subject to cancellation in cases of low census with proper notice.
