Admissions Representative

Job Summary Schedule: Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p Full Time. Responsible for introduction to an exceptional patient experience through excellent customer service. Arrange for timely, efficient, and orderly registration of all patients presenting to the hospital. Interview patient or representative to ensure accurate collection of patient information, including insurance details. Educate all patients on appropriate hospital policies, procedures and patient rights. Essential Job Responsibilities Engage patients throughout the interaction to create a welcoming and confident patient experience. Confidentially collect patient demographic and insurance information accurately and document into computer systems. Complete all registration forms accurately and ensure patient understanding of conditions of admission. Communicate and educate patients on their rights and responsibilities and available access through the patient portal. Coordinate all hospital admission types: inpatient, outpatient, emergency and pre‑admit. Maintain departmental expectations for POS collections, accuracy, wait times and other customer service measures. Comply with laws and regulations in maintaining patient information and confidentiality. Assume other duties deemed necessary for exceptional patient interactions and customer service. Provide regular and reliable attendance. Job Qualifications Preferred 1 year prior related work experience.
