Dietary Aide

Job Overview: The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and well-prepared meals in a welcoming dining environment. This position involves assisting with meal preparation, serving residents, maintaining cleanliness in the dining and kitchen areas, and following dietary guidelines to accommodate residents' specific needs. The Dietary Aide will also be responsible for stocking all nourishments, smallware's, PC items, disposables, cleaning supplies, snacks, beverages and any other items assigned from direct supervisor (AM HCC Supervisor and/or Dir. Of Culinary Services) Responsibilities: · Assisting with meal preparation and serving. · Inspecting special diet trays to ensure they comply with the dietary restrictions. · Assisting the cooks and Home Maker with determining kitchen supplies and stock for the day, as well as checking and maintaining kitchen stock levels. · Cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas. Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen per State and local Health Department health codes. · Assist Utility Aide in main kitchen with dishwashing, after serving breakfast and lunch. · The ability to comply with sanitation regulations. · Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. · Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public. · Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly and understand that for each resident the facility is considered the Resident's home. · Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual. · Must be honest, ethical, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others. · Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. · Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner. · Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority. · Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators). · Answer phones appropriately, according to company and community standards. · Communicate professionally and cooperate with supervisors and all community personnel. · Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights. · Perform other duties as assigned.
