Cardiac Sonographer - Day Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer who will independently perform imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of judgment and technical expertise in the performance of various echocardiographic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiac Ultrasound procedures including Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography, and echo with contrast.
• Utilize ultrasound instrumentation effectively, demonstrating knowledge of equipment operations and scanning techniques to optimize image quality and documentation.
• Obtain echocardiographic images in compliance with department policy and industry standards.
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures and adhere to universal protocol standards.
• Interact with patients and co-workers with a high level of compassion, ensuring clear communication of procedures and addressing patient concerns.
• Document patient history and perform exam coding and billing according to department standards.
• Review patient history and physician orders to ensure adherence to departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience performing Adult Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo is preferred.

Schedule

The position is a Day Shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday with limited weekend overtime hours on a shared rotation.
