Senior Buyer - Strategic Sourcing (Raw Materials)- ONSITE

• Max Hourly Rate $50/hr.
• 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday
• Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience , including at least 3 years focused on raw materials sourcing within a manufacturing or advanced materials environment

• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, pricing drivers, and regional regulations to build smart sourcing strategies that create long?term competitive advantages
• Use Laird’s global procurement processes, tools, and governance standards to deliver business results while keeping systems and data accurate and up to date
• Lead the development, negotiation, and ongoing management of supply agreements, considering demand forecasts, growth objectives, contract terms, pricing history, and quality and regulatory requirements
• Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Program Management, Quality, and other teams to proactively identify and mitigate supply risks and ensure supply continuity
• Drive cost?saving initiatives and working capital improvements while actively managing cost pressures
• Build strong supplier relationships by developing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) plans for critical suppliers, promoting continuous improvement, maximizing value, and minimizing risk

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain or a related field is required
• 5-10 years of sourcing, operations or supply chain experience including at least 3 years in raw material strategic sourcing role
• Strong negotiation skills & High ethical standards.
• Good communication and relationship skills (internal clients, external suppliers).
• High degree of competency in data and value analysis, combined with excellent IT skills.
• Good understanding of Legal fundamentals (as relates to contracts).
• High level of understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals and the integration with Sourcing.
• Good understanding of Finance fundamentals.
• Good understanding of Regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities.
• Travel may be required depending on project needs
