This position will work on a variety of interesting projects and offers growth for professional and personal development offering a combination of field and office responsibilities. B&N Geologist Responsibilities: Support environmental site assessment, investigation, remediation, compliance, and permitting projects Perform soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, and other environmental sample collection and shipping in accordance with project plans and standard procedures Support drilling oversight, monitoring well installation, and well development activities Log soil and/or rock samples, document subsurface conditions, and prepare field notes, boring logs, well construction logs, and sampling records Calibrate, operate, and maintain field equipment such as water quality meters, photoionization, detectors, water level meters, GPS units, and sampling equipment Prepare field documentation, technical memoranda, tables, figures, reports, permit documents, and regulatory submittals Research environmental regulations, guidance, databases, and public records Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, drillers, laboratories, agencies, facility operators, and internal project teams Support health and safety planning, tailgate safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and implementation of site-specific health and safety requirements Assist with proposals, project research, cost estimates, meeting preparation, and business development Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Hydrogeology, Geology, or other related Earth or Soil science 2-5 years of related experience required Ability to use AI tools responsibly for research, drafting, and data organization Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams Ability to research agency databases, public records, and municipal portals Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays Experience with solid waste or landfill development is a plus Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS, Bluebeam, and/or Adobe Acrobat preferred Ability to obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification Travel arrangements to and from work assignments including airfare, hotel, and meals are reimbursed.
