Customer Service AssociateAs a Customer Service Associate, you combine top-notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe's. This is an excellent role for those who want to engage with customers and help them solve their home improvement challenges.Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise. Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies. Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time. Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service. Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). Guide customers through shopping or checkout. Complete other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tabletsReading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job dutiesMinimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodationPreferred Qualifications:6 months of Retail and/or customer service experienceBi-lingual skillsCertification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)Lowe's commitment to growth and teamwork extends to the community as well. Working Conditions Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
