Oracle DBAOracle DBA Duration: 6 months + Contract to Hire Onsite 4 days a week - Miramar, FL This person needs to be senior enough to build Oracle Databases. Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent record of accomplishment of delivery and excellent software engineering skills. S/he will be part of discussions with the Product owners inAnalyzing the needs of the userWorking with vendors, dev engineers in designing, testing, and developing software to meet those needsRecommending upgrades for existing systems and programsCreating various diagrams, flowcharts and models that illustrate the type of code needed for programmersEnsuring continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of softwareDocumenting each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenanceS/he will be working with product and project teams simultaneously and learn to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across disparate teams.Responsibilities:At a high-level, responsibilities for this role will include:Participating as the core member in existing database upgradesWorking with architects to design product integration & deployment.Working with the Database administrators, vendors, and architects to implement standard database rules.Working with security and compliance team to ensure that the product database design and deployment meet approved compliance standards.Creating and managing product database documentation regarding design and integration for all products.Providing database development support which involves interfacing with Design, Test Engineering, Quality Engineering, and othersWorking with the Product Managers, Product owners & Supply chain in defining sustainability & application compatibility with obsolete hardware changes, OS upgrades for all current and new products as part of the roadmap.Ensuring all product implementations go through an operational readiness review and works closely with the Operations team to complete this as part of the transition to production.Providing Level 4 support for database issues that cannot be resolved by the support team and which may or may not need vendor assistance for code software changes.Qualifications:EducationalBachelor's degree in computer science ORDegree in Database administration or managementSQL /Oracle Developer certifications (current)Work Experience3/5 Years in a Database development role in medium/large organizations.Experience in developing Database Structure for various applicationsRequired Skills:Strong command of oracle and SQL server databases.Strong command of SQL and SQL server toolsStrong Experience with coding in T-SQL and PL/SQLPowerShell and Unix shell scripting skillsExperience working with Enterprise level Windows, Linux infrastructure environments.Experience working with middleware tools like Tibco or MuleSoftExperience working in an agile environmentExperience building complex vendor application systems that have been successfully delivered to customersAbility to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the projectExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and meet production deadlinesExperience with mission critical, 24x7 systemsDesired Skills:Results-orientedProven ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results in a team, plus the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships, and the capability to interact with engineers from all departments.Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative
