Incumbents of the Shift Millwright position average $130,000/year

[Hourly Rate/Salary Range]: $17.43-$22.25/hour plus production bonus

Production positions are paid a base hourly rate along with a production bonus which is calculated based on the amount of quality tons produced and paid weekly.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Kankakee is seeking qualified applicants for a Shift Millwright position. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Developing and promoting safe work practices Maintaining daily records in a computerized maintenance system Applying technical knowledge to improve the conditions of all mill equipment, overhead cranes, etc. Utilize skills toward preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on all equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of hands-on work experience in industrial maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanical/Electrical Certification or degree
