Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2+ years in cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - 2+ years in cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience - 1 year CVOR experience - 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility - Scrub experience required Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse in the CVOR. The shift is a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. Candidates must be flexible and available for fixed or rotating weekends. No on-call requirements for this position. Candidates must have experience scrubbing cardiac and vascular cases. They should be comfortable working in an operating room environment. Knowledge of general OR and cardiovascular procedures is essential. Experience with charting systems, specifically EPIC, is required. The unit focuses on patients requiring heart and vascular care and surgery. Common cases include CABG, valve surgeries, and endovascular procedures. Candidates must have robust patient care skills and be dedicated to teamwork. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Candidates should have a commitment to infection control and patient safety. This role requires adherence to universal protocols and procedures. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care delivery. Overall, applicants should possess an understanding of patient ratios and care standards.
