This position focuses on advancing efficiency and innovation within our upright proton therapy program under the direction of the Proton Medical Physicist and Medical Physics leadership, with emphasis on:Automation of proton treatment planning and quality assurance.Development of highly efficient online-adaptive solutions.Implementation of simulation-free proton therapy workflows based on upright MRI.Required Qualifications:M.S.. in Physics, or closely related field required.At least two years of experience in radiotherapy, medical physics, or related medical engineering field required.Strong programming skills in Python & Matlab required.Experience in RayStation software scripting and treatment planning required.Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a team required.Experience in imaging (e.g., MRI) and/or experimental measurements in proton therapy required.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required.Interest in translational research and clinical innovation required.Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D in physics or related field preferred.Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
