Overview
X-Ray Technologist – X-Ray Tech needed for a travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date: July 20, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,442–$2,587 per week. Guaranteed hours: None. Shift: 12-hour shifts. Setting: hospital; a travel temporary assignment with on-call and weekend coverage per unit needs.

Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders before beginning x-ray procedures
- Use radiographic equipment to take radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs per physician orders
- Explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer questions
- Position patients and assist with lifting/moving patients with limited mobility
- Operate radiologic equipment safely and minimize radiation exposure to patients
- Verify patient information in electronic systems and ensure images are correctly stored in the PACS system
- Maintain accurate patient records with proper image labeling and identification
- Produce diagnostic, high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Notify management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment
- Follow dual patient identifier procedures and unit-specific protocols

Requirements
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
- NYS license (or ability to obtain license prior to starting)
- Minimum 2 years of X-ray technologist experience
- Trauma experience: Level 1 trauma center or OR experience in a trauma 1 center
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
