Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center (MVPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists for their outpatient teams. Outpatient clinics and programs are located in Rome, NY, Herkimer, NY, and Utica, NY. As a Psychiatrist at MVPC, you will provide comprehensive, patient centered, and recovery focused treatments to individuals with mental illness 18 year of age or older; including: Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions Creating treatment plans including medication management Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed Providing individual and group psychotherapy About MVPC: MVPC is a community-based psychiatric center providing behavioral health services to children and adolescents. Located in Utica, NY, MVPC Children and Youth services provide inpatient care in a youth friendly and safe setting. Family participation plays a large role in treatment and recovery plans. MVPC offers community-based clinic programs in Utica, Rome, and Herkimer for individuals 18 years and older. Outpatient treatment focuses on strength-based and person-centered approaches to recovery. Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
